Update on DIY Dishwasher detergent

I don't like it. I've been using it for a couple weeks now. It seemed pretty good during the first couple clinical trials but after that it all went downhill.

It just doesn't seem to work that great. Some dishes I even had to rewash after they went through. No thank you! And the glasses do not sparkle.

So the search goes on.

DIY Dishwasher detergent

Ok, so this evening we ran out of our usual dishwasher detergent and so what a girl to do? GOOGLE IT! Yep! I found a recipe right here.

Here it is. (Notice: its very similar to my Laundry Soap recipe, so I already had 3 of the 4 ingredients)

1/2 cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
1/2 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
1/4 cup Kosher Salt
4 packets Lemonade Kool-aid (unsweetened)

Mix together in a resealable plastic container (I used the plastic tub that was empty from the store bought detergent)

Add 1 TBSP to dishwasher.

PS. It worked fabulous!
